In a spirit of doing the right thing for our community, during the month of May, the Dublin headquarters office spearheaded a drive to collect food for children in the area.
During the school year, students from low-income families may qualify to receive breakfast and/or lunch at no cost or at a reduced rate. During the summer breaks, these services are discontinued, placing a greater financial burden on the household and leaving the children without a stable source of sustenance. To assist in relieving this burden, GovStrive came together to collect both non-perishable and “kid-friendly” items that were then donated to the Laurens County Division of Family and Children Services (DFACS) for distribution to families in the area.
At GovStrive, we believe in strongly supporting the individuals in our communities, both through our service and philanthropic activities, as well as by providing valuable employment and professional development opportunities. We are proud to be a HUBZone-certified small business and cherish opportunities such as this one to give back to our neighbors in impactful ways. Thank you to our Dublin office for their generous contributions, as well as Tamela Taylor, for leading the effort!
