GOVSTRIVE PAID INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

EMBARKING ON YOUR CONSULTING OR DEVELOPMENT CAREER WITH GOVSTRIVE

The internship is a seasonal program.

GovStrive is a management consulting and managed services firm, as well as a software provider, that is focused on supporting our clients’ critical mission-related transactional needs within federal Human Resources (HR) organizations. Our offerings equip our clients with the right tools and knowledge to navigate the evolving federal landscape while meeting and exceeding mission objectives.

Our team of consultants, software developers, data scientists and operations professionals are equipped to provide advisory, consulting and other services to support all aspects of federal HR organizations, specializing in HR business transformation, HR operations, HR information technology adoption and HR reporting, and analytics.

Work Location: Atlanta, GA or Dublin, GA
Standard Weekly Schedule: Minimum 40 hours per month

The GovStrive Paid Internship Program introduces participants to the management consulting, professional services, and software development fields and can support academic credit. The program focuses on shaping and affecting federal business marketplace and career development. It is designed to develop powerful, able, compassionate, and contributing business professionals.

Intern+Experiences

EXPERIENCE:

  1. Increased overall understanding of a consulting firm and its operating environment
  2. Understand service offerings, methodologies, project approaches, deliverables, and project management
  3. Collaborate with clients, leadership, mentors and peers in a positive, professional environment
  4. Develop fundamental consulting skills
  5. Assist in developing and modifying Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training materials, etc.
  6. Research collect, prepare, analyze, and present data for team members

OPPORTUNITIES TO:

  1. Actively engage in day-to-day business
  2. Serve clients
  3. Develop work products and deliverables
  4. Gain exposure to real-world issues
Intern+Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Possess articulate, persuasive, and clear communication skills, both verbal and written
  2. Demonstrate ability to listen, interact, and collaborate effectively with colleagues virtually and in-person
  3. Visit the Atlanta or Dublin office for a minimum of 2 hours at least one day per week
  4. Act as a dependable and positive team-player
  5. Demonstrate an attitude that’s supportive of the GovStrive core values
  6. Be proactive in setting goals and defining experiences/opportunities with advisors

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. U.S. citizenship or the ability to obtain citizenship, and the ability to pass a government background investigation
  2. Minimum GPA of 3.2 in bachelor’s degree coursework
  3. Relevant work experience or education
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Office

PAID STUDENT
MENTORING PROGRAM

The mentorship is a seasonal program.

The GovStrive Student Mentoring Program is designed for first (2nd semester) and second year undergraduate students and can support academic credit. The fifteen to sixteen-week mentor program will create opportunities for the students to learn about the workplace and explore their interest prior to their third and fourth academic year.

The program will provide students with a practical, hands-on experience within headquarters operations and provide guidance and support to the student in career development and work-life balance.

Intern+Qualifications

MENTORSHIP PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Minimum Freshman or Sophomore in College
  2. Minimum second semester Freshman with a GPA of 3.2 in Bachelor’s degree coursework
  3. Ability to report in person to a GovStrive office in Dublin, GA
  4. Ability to work a minimum 20 hours per month
  5. U.S. citizenship or the ability to obtain citizenship and be able to pass a government background investigation
  6. Business majors or related field
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Office

SUMMER YOUTH WORKS,
CITY OF DUBLIN

The mentorship is a seasonal program.

The Summer Youth Works Employment Program is a community wide partnership that provides public and private sector job opportunities our local youth. The eight-week employment program provides employable training and exposure to mentorship opportunities.

During week one, youth receive soft skills training that assists in preparing them for the workplace. Weeks two through eight, youth report to their assigned worksites and are exposed to business operations while being mentored by business professionals.

Intern+Qualifications

SUMMER YOUTH WORKS REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Must be a high school student
  2. Must be at least 16 years old
  3. Ability to report in person to business office located in Dublin, GA
  4. Ability to work a minimum 32 hours per week
  5. Must be able to pass a drug test for being employed
