Title: GovStrive Internship Consulting/WATS – (Workforce Analytics and Technology Solutions)

Location: Dublin, GA; Atlanta, GA

The GovStrive Paid Internship Program introduces participants to the management consulting, WATS, and professional services fields and can support academic credit. The program focuses on shaping and affecting the federal business marketplace and career development. It is designed to develop powerful, able, compassionate, and contributing business professionals. Interns will work with an experienced team and collaborate on real-world business issues. Interns will also have the opportunity to build internal and external relationships with clients, mentors, and peers. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Acquire a comprehensive knowledge of GovStrive’s methodologies, approaches, processes, and procedures.
  • Familiarize yourself with GovStrive’s diverse service offerings to better support client needs.
  • Develop an understanding of project team structures and the pivotal role of team collaboration in achieving work assignments and project deliverables.
  • Participate in client meetings, internal meetings, and working sessions to understand meeting preparation and provide support through the creation of draft agendas, meeting notes, and related materials.
  • Cultivate effective and concise professional written and verbal business communication skills.
  • Gain exposure to client work products and become familiar with consulting service delivery expectations; assist in the development of draft deliverables as requested.
  • Develop critical thinking capabilities and learn how to apply them to complex problem-solving scenarios.
  • Conduct thorough research to comprehend the project scope and the client's environment.
  • Familiarize yourself with the basic project management framework and contribute to key activities such as risk/issue tracking, action item tracking, and the compilation and delivery of meeting agendas and notes.


   
Education Requirements:  

  • High School Diploma/GED Required; Enrolled in Bachelor’s degree Coursework (Minimum GPA of 3.2) with anticipated graduation within 12 months from the beginning of the internship.

 

Technical Skills:   

  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required.  

 

Requirements:  

  • Ability to report in person, at least one day a week, to a GovStrive office in Atlanta, GA or Dublin, GA.   
  • Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per month.   
  • Minimum GPA of 3.2 in Bachelor’s degree coursework.   
  • U.S. citizenship and be able to pass a government background investigation.   
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to solve problems. 
  • Ability to multi-task, without losing focus of priorities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
